Monthly Recap – May 2018
A recap of my adventures in the month of May
The temperatures are getting cooler and the days are getting shorter… But still some adventures were to be had in May!
Read on for my monthly recap!
RAINY WEEKEND UP THE COAST
The world of 40th birthdays has begun, where many in my social circle will be hitting this milestone in the next 18 months. Like the era of 18th, 21sts, weddings, baby showers, 30ths and now 40ths. Woah how did we get here! Age musings aside, I headed up the coast to Wamberal on NSW’s Central Coast for a surprise birthday party.
It was a wild and wet weekend, windy and cold. Lucky the party was inside the surf club. The following day I explored the lookout and headland at Forresters Beach before driving back to Sydney.
BREKKY AT THE BEACH
Its so nice to have family and friends over now that we live near the beach. My brother, sister in law, niece and nephew came over and we headed down to Bronze Cafe at Mona Vale, where I could show off my local beach.
Isn’t my nephew the cutest!?
APPRECIATING AUTUMN
Sydney had a late Autumn this year, as the weather was too warm for the beginning of March. So now in May we are just getting the great Autumn colours of deciduous trees.
LOCAL GALLERY VISIT
We spend a lot of our time visiting local galleries and supporting artists, seeing exhibitions. During May we visited the Creative Space at Curl Curl run by Waringah Council. Artists can book the space for exhibitions. We were lucky enough to see an exhibition by Guy Troughton, Australian Watercolour aritst. An even bigger treat was when we visited the gallery space, Guy was doing a painting demonstration. Super cool.
Where is the year going? The months are flying by. Hanging out for June and the long weekend!
