ON THIS DAY IN 2007
I got off my overnight bus in Nevsihir, transferred to Ugrup and then checked into my hotel in Turkey’s Cappadocia region. After breakfast I headed off on a full day tour of the region, visiting Dervent Valley and all the rock formations. We spent the afternoon at the Goreme Open Air Museum before tucking into bed in my cave hotel!

I headed to Anna Bay on NSW North Coast for a long weekend with good friends, seafood and ocean views from our house on the cliff.

While my partner was living in Orange County, California I visited and we road tripped up to Pismo Beach for the weekend. We spent the day exploring Hearst Castle and the opulent rooms, pools and stunning gardens. Hearst Castle was originally owned by William Randolph Hearst. His estate overlooks the Pacific Ocean and his ranchland near the village of San Simeon.
Unfortunately we couldn’t see the outdoor Neptune pool full of water as it had been drained because of California’s devastating drought. However the indoor pool was pretty spectacular!

My partner and I hired a car and explored the Big Island of Hawaii. On this day we transferred from Ohau to Hilo Airport on the Big Island, After checking in to our accommodation, we headed off to explore Rainbow Falls and the lush vegetation surrounding the falls.
ON THIS DAY – 2017
Another fantastic long weekend down at my parent’s house, this time for Easter on the NSW South Coast. We took long walks around Narrawallee Beach and Inlet and drove country drives to Nowra, Jasper’s Brush, Berry and Kiama on our way there and back.
So Happy Easter long weekend! I am sure everyone is being good and staying at home for 2020. Let me know in the comments where you usually spend your Easter break.
