Monthly Recap – August 2018

A recap of my adventures in the month of August

A busy little month! Birthday and celebration season has begun, with a trip down the coast for a friend’s major birthday (not saying which zero number)… Plus some other outings.

Read on for my monthly recap.

BE BRAVE ART SPACE

We visited the Be Brave Art Space for an Opening Night of the Extraordinary Everyday Exhibition, by local artist Andrea Edwards. I love her whimsical abstract paintings.

MONA VALE HEADLAND

I continued my after work walks at the beach whenever I could and discovered some great views from the South headland. You look back over the whole length of Mona Vale Beach.

KATY PERRY CONCERT

Another month, another concert! Katy Perry was super fun. I love so many of her songs and she provided lighthearted entertainment at Kudos Bank Arena.

BANNISTER’S PAVILION AT MOLLYMOOK

I headed down to Mollymook to celebrate a close friends birthday. It was held at the newly opened Bannister’s Pavilion, by Rick Stein who is also behind Bannisters by the Sea, also at Mollymook. The venue, which is a small boutique hotel has a lovely rooftop bar, restaurant and pool area. I’d love to come back here in Summer and swim by the pool while having cocktails!

HIGH TEA

As part of the birthday weekend celebrations, the sisters of the birthday girl threw a surprise high tea. It was hosted by Annie’s high teas, and they come to you to set up the loveliest high tea in your own home!

So that was August. Looking forward to September, the start o Spring and some warmer weather!
